Elections May 2025
Local elections, including elections for Broughton Parish Council, will take place on Thursday 1st May, 2025.
The election for Broughton Parish Council is for 11 councillors

We are looking for community minded individuals who want to make a difference in our village.
Our councillors are all volunteers who strive to keep the village a pleasant place to live.
Projects at the moment include:
- Traffic calming in Northampton and Kettering Road
- Parson Spinney aka Pocket Park regeneration
- Village Map
- Phone box library
- High Street playground Equipment
- Memorial garden
- Winter lights

Publication of notice of election – 7th March 2025
Delivery of nomination papers - The period for submitting nominations will start on 10 March and there will be opportunities to deliver nomination papers outside of normal working hours. Completed nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer at Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX by the deadline which is 4pm on 2 April 2025.
Deadline for withdrawals of nomination – Wednesday 2 April 2025, 4pm
Publication of statement of persons nominated – Thursday 3 April 2025
Councillors come into office – Tuesday 6 May 2025
Voters Election Timetable:
-Deadline for receiving applications for voting registration - Friday 11 April 2025
Deadline for receiving new postal vote and postal proxy applications, and for changes to existing postal or proxy votes - Monday 14 April, 5pm
Deadline for receiving new applications to vote by proxy (not 5pm on Wednesday 23 April postal proxy or emergency proxies)
Publication of notice of poll – Not later than Wednesday 23 April 2025
First date that electors can apply for a replacement for lost postal votes – Friday 25 April
Polling day – 7am to 10pm on Thursday 1 May
Declaration of result – Count on Saturday 3rd May 2025
